Restaurant Training

It all begins in the restaurant. Part 1 of the VILLAGE training program includes Franchisees spending 4 weeks working in a certified VILLAGE restaurant where they will cover all aspects of daily operations for both front and back end of house:

  • Kitchen management: supply orders, operations
Management Training

Part two of the VILLAGE training program will include learning the business side of owning a VILLAGE franchise.

  • Bookkeeping, cash controls, payroll, , employee scheduling, inventory, cost controls (food & labour), hiring, and training.
  • Business analysis, month-end and year-end administration
On-site Opening Assistance

The VILLAGE team is full of individuals with the expertise to analyze potential sites looking at traffic, parking, accessibility, demographics, and surrounding businesses. Once a site is secured, the VILLAGE team will take care of the design of the restaurant, and any renovations that might be necessary for interior design, kitchen planning, equipment, and permits to get your VILLAGE restaurant up and running.

Marketing and Promotional Tools

The VILLAGE team will provide you with materials and tools that you will need for local marketing initiatives, while being a part of regional advertising and branding campaigns. You will have the opportunity to sit down with the VILLAGE team to discuss social media and branding.

Operational Reviews and Business Coaching

The VILLAGE team will have regular reviews to analyze performance, and from there set future goals to continue to grow the business. We are here to support every Villager.

 

Start-up Costs

The total start-up cost for your VILLAGE restaurant will be somewhere in the range provided in the information below. You will require unencumbered investment capital of $70,000 – $100,000 and should be able to borrow the remaining amount.

CAN I OPEN A VILLAGE FRANCHISE WITH A PARTNER?

Most definitely!

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SIZE OF A VILLAGE RESTAURANT?

The average VILLAGE is about 1,200 – 1,500 square feet.

IS PREVIOUS RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?

No, while previous restaurant experience is an asset, it is not mandatory. We will be teaching you everything there is to know about the restaurant business and how The Village works. The most important thing is to come ready, have an open mind, and be willing to learn.

DO I HAVE TO FIND MY OWN LOCATION?

No, The Village team will work to identify suitable locations. Once a location has been confirmed, The Village team will assist with securing the premises and negotiating the lease for you.

WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT?

The Village franchise agreements are for a period of 10 years, and able to renew for an additional 10 years.
